Email from Parent regarding inappropriate sexual content

Email from Parent regarding inappropriate sexual content

Hi Craig

Following up from our phone call, I thought I would send you an email summarising the zoom presentation I attended between my son's school sex ed provider and other parents.

The Sex ed provider (Elephant Ed) was brought into a zoom meeting with interested parents from a school in Melbourne's North. The meeting, which was more of a presentation, was aimed at parents who may have wanted to know more about the upcoming sex ed program about to be taught at the school the following year. I actively participated.

An important note is that this zoom presentation was not like a normal zoom call. For parents to participate and ask questions within the call, we had to download an app on our phone or the computer. We would then type our question into the app so the facilitator would receive it on her screen. Participants of the meeting would only be able to see the questions once the facilitator had approved of them. Obviously this was done so that she wouldn't have to answer any questions on the spot. Completely censored. Also participants were made anonymous and weren't able to look up who else was in the meeting.

When I had the chance, I thought I would send my first question: "How do you explain to the kids the difference between sex, between different sexuality types?

The answer to this question is in the video below.

The facilitator proceeds to say that even though they dont teach this at younger year levels, at levels 9 they explain this:

"Sex is an activity between 2 or more people for the purpose of pleasure"

I think all parents need to be made aware of this. This is being glorified as being inclusive for all kids. They put a positive spin on it so that the parents dont even acknowledge the content that is being taught. Its shocking and needs to be exposed.

Thanks for all of your help.

Kind Regards

Luke
