Registering Complaints in South Australia

First and foremost, please remember you as the parent are the primary educator of your child. The Education department nor the school have any rights above this. You have these rights according to International Guidelines ( ICCPR ) and Federal Legislation (Australian Human Rights Commission Act 1986).
Schools are quoting that Respectful Relationships is compulsory and mandated to be taught. The Education Department directions do not override International guidelines or Federal legislation.
Politely ask the principal or teacher to direct you to the section of the Education Department Website that states this is mandated, or ask for this to be stated in writing from the Education Department.
The clear fact and your rights as a parent is, if you do not wish for certain inappropriate content to be taught ie; Radical Gender Theory or sexualised content then it is your right for these teachings not to be taught.
These are the suggested steps to take to effectively push back against this agenda, unfortunately sending an email to the school registering your complaint and to opt your child out is not enough. This must be followed up.
Step 1
Email the school Principal and teacher your objection to this material being taught to your child. Request a reply in writing. Follow this up with a hand delivered letter to the Principal, this can be downloaded from the link below. It explains your rights under International Guidelines and Federal legislation.
You can either deliver the letter first, then follow up with the email or vice versa. Ensure when you email the school be specific with your requirements of what you are not consenting to for your child’s education.
- Your child is to be excluded from any activity, class or third party facilitated program that teaches any form of gender theory.
- Any activity, class or third party facilitated program that teaches any form of sexual content.

(refer to explanation sheet, the letter you want for a primary student is option 2)
This will opt your child out from any teachings of gender theory and any inappropriate sexualised content.
Step 2
Email the Education Department your concerns. Register your complaint regarding the content your child is being forced to learn, also name the teacher and Principal.

Step 3
For Public Schools
The school curriculum in South Australia is regulated by the South Australian Government from years prep to Year 10, through the Australian Curriculum. https://www.australiancurriculum.edu.au/
For years 11-12 it is SACE curriculum (South Australian Certificate of Education) https://www.sace.sa.edu.au/
To register your complaint regarding the school curriculum it is the same process and link as mentioned in “Step 2“
https://www.education.sa.gov.au/department/feedback-and-complaints/feedback-department https://www.education.sa.gov.au/department/feedback-and-complaints/make-complaint-about-school-or-preschool
Not enough parents are registering their complaints the school Principals who you are complaining to will not pass this information on, it is imperative you follow this process.
For Catholic Schools
CESA (Catholic Education South Australia) is the governing body responsible for curriculums in Catholic schools in South Australia.
https://www.cesa.catholic.edu.au/our-schools/feedback-or-complaints
Step 4
Email the Teachers Registration Board South Australia:
https://trb.sa.edu.au/Professional-Conduct/complaints-against-teachers/making-a-complaint
Email your complaint stating what school, the Teachers name and the Principals name. The Teachers Registration Board is duty bound to follow this up with the individual teacher and Principal.
Step 5
South Australian Ombudsman Office:
Ensure you state in your email you have registered your complaints with the school, and other organisations.
https://www.ombudsman.sa.gov.au/make-a-complaint
Ideally you want to send these complaints in a series of emails within 2-3 days of each other. Place as much detail in your emails as possible, taking screenshots or pictures of the content that your child is being subjected to.
FURTHER USEFUL INFORMATION
Further data to support you is there are many child psychologists that have publicly stated that teaching radical gender theory to young children in harmful.
Andrew Amos prominent psychiatrist at James Cook University:
“not acceptable on a number of levels and very concerning. I don’t think kids of that age are even capable of understanding the underlying concepts. It’s damaging for the children, but I think it’s also damaging to the family structure. The boundaries that you set for kids really have a large part to play in whether they’re going to be happy, healthy and functional, and this is really indoctrination into a particular political ideology that damages the child at school, but also at home."

Philip Morris senior psychiatrist states:
“Four to five-year-olds are really at a point in their life where they are not in a position to be able to decide whether they should or should not support trans identities. So it’s premature for children to be asked this sort of stuff and it and it’s premature for the parents to be forced or encouraged to nominate this for their children.”

Jillian Spencer child and adolescent psychiatrist states:
“Using preferred pronouns for children this age is harmful to the individual child and also to the other children in the classroom. I understand parents want to be seen as ‘good’ parents… However, it is not kind or caring to the child to play along with them being the opposite sex or non-binary. This is harmful to the child because it sets them on a path towards medicalisation which has serious harms. At kindergarten age, children are still trying to understand reality and providing them with false information about their own, or their classmate’s sex, prevents them from learning accurate information about themselves and the world.”

The Australian Federation of Doctors are doing some great work raising awareness and campaigning against radical gender theory being taught to children also the dangers of puberty blockers and other gender affirming drug given to children.

In closing the schools and education department are not listening to you as parents and are blatantly lying to you. The only way we can make change is if you play your part and follow this process. Your children cannot defend themselves from this agenda it is up to You the parent to take action and affirmative action.
Do the words “ I would do anything for my child “ have any substance and meaning anymore ?. Doing anything for your child means doing things you have never done before and investing the time to protect them.
The Education Department is not going to relent unless real pressure is applied. You may think “ohh my child has only got a year or 2 years left“. How much more can their minds be polluted, are you prepared to take that risk with your child’s innocence and future?
Time to stand up and push back with strong, clear assertive action, your children are depending on you.
